Here you will find a variation of reviews of mostly current movies out in cinema, on DVD or VoD. That is the stuff I watch most frequently. However, there will be occasional reviews of older movies I finally managed to catch up on.
Trailer Roundups: As someone who likes to be hyped, I watch a lot of new trailers to get a first impression of whether I’m gonna like that particular movie or (season of a) TV show. That is why I’m going to regularly comment on the latest trailers. The intervals will be 1 or 2 weeks because after that, the discussion is over and no one gives a crap anymore.

Deadpool 2 (2018) – Don’t call it a comeback!
Fast and Furious 6 (2013) – The one with the absurdly long landing strip (rewatch)
Furious 7 (2015) – Farewell, Paul Walker (rewatch)
Get Out (2017) – … of your house and watch this in a cinema – now!

4/5:
Black Panther (2018) – Welcome to Wakanda
The Evil Dead (1981) – Gruesome Cabin Horror
Evil Dead (2013) – A competent horror flick, a bit less successful as a remake
The Night Before (2015) – A Christmas comedy that works surprisingly well
3,5/5:
Doctor Strange – Or: How I Stopped Blindly Accepting The Marvel Formula And Detect Franchise Fatigue
Evil Dead II (1987) – exactly like part I, just a lot more absurd
It’s A Wonderful Life (1946) – Not merely a Christmas movie
The Nice Guys (2016) – Crowe and Gosling and stuff
3/5:
Baywatch (2017) – Not as clever as 21 Jump Street, but an agreeable summer comedy
The Boy (2016) – or rather: The “Boy”
2,5/5:
2/5:
The Forest (2016) – a movie almost as dull as its title
1,5/5:
The Wolverine (2013) – Another lame Wolverine solo film
